UMPIRE REQUIREMENTS FOR NW REGIONAL LEAGUES 2017-18

23/8/2017

NW Officiating TSG has had a discussion this evening and these are the requirements for umpires for regional games in the 2017-218 season:
  • NW Prem: A or B award umpires who hold a level 6.1 bleep test result. These bleep tests will need to be carried out at tests organised/invigilated by County Umpiring Secretaries and signed off by an appropriately qualified personnel (eg UKCC Level 2 coach, PE teacher, Personal trainer).Umpires should achieve this before they umpire their 1st regional Prem game. County Umpiring secretaries are asked to forward these results to me at [email protected] and I will post updated lists of these eligible umpires on here in due course
  • NW Champs (both divisions): A or B award umpires with no requirement for a bleep test. C award umpires who have a valid pass mark on their B award paper (ie passed the paper within the last 2 years) will also be allowed to umpire these games. Lists of names will be updated and posted on here
  • NW Junior U14, U16 and U19 leagues: A or B award umpires with no requirement for a bleep test. C award umpires who are approved or recommended by their County Umpiring Secretaries will also be eligible. If teams have an umpire they would like approving, then please send an email to their county umpiring secretary for decision on approval. Again, these names will be sent to me and I will update a list of umpires available and post on here
I hope this helps teams and I will also email the above to teams.

Currently we are remaining at a limit of 2 regional games per umpire per day as per EN guidelines, although should teams find themselves without an umpire at the 11th hour, consideration may be given to occasional requests for an umpire to do an extra match if a team has made every effort to find an umpire and there is a danger of the match being cancelled.

Hope everyone has a good season!
Ruth
