Goalden Globes 2013
Goalden Globes Nominations
In September 2013, one of the most celebrated evenings in the England Netball calendar will be held as over 350 people will attend the Goalden Globe Awards. The finest names from the world of England Netball will come together to celebrate some of the hardest working volunteers in the sport.
But before that can happen, clubs and counties around the country must nominate their volunteers. The nominations process for all award categories is now open. The 8 categories are:
•Coach Award - Grassroots
•Officials Award - Grassroots
•Muriel McNally Grassroots Award
•Mary Bulloch Administrator Award
•Teacher Award
•Young Volunteer Award
•Outstanding Netball Club Award
•Unsung Hero Award
A regional winner for each category is decided from all regional nominations and the winners then go forward to the National Award Ceremony and are in with a chance to win the National Award. To nominate a volunteer please read through the Information Pack for 2013 Award Nominations and complete the nomination form.
As well as the regional awards there are two awards that are only decided at National level these are:
•England Netball Rose Award
•England Netball National Long Service Award
The Rose Award and National Long service Award are presented at the discretion of the National Panel and as such are not guaranteed to be presented annually. The Rose award and National Long service Award are not presented at a Regional level; all nominations should be made using the specific nomination forms below for each award and returned directly to Liz Barton-Jones (Volunteer Development Manager) at England Netball.

National Long Service Award Nomination Form
Individuals may self nominate for the England Netball Long Service Award. All nominations must be seconded by a County Association. The England Netball National Long Service Award will be presented to volunteers who have given selfless outstanding service for 25 years or more by way of administration, coaching or umpiring at one or more of the following levels county, regional, national and international. These nominations will be conferred by the national panel.
For further information please email the Regional Office - [email protected]
Last year 2 North West regional winners went on to win the National Award - Samantha Inman (who won the inclusive netball volunteer award) and Gabrielle Towell (who won the Coach Award). So think about the people who help your club or county run smoothly (so much so that you do not realise all of the hard work they put in) and get nominating!
