North West Regional Manager – Laura Fisher

My role is to plan and manage the delivery of Netball in the Region in line the North West regional Management Board, County committees and other partners. I also manage and support the Netball Development Officers and Regional Staff in the delivery of the Regional & County Plans.

North West Regional Co– ordinator - Janka Hughes
 
I am the longest standing member of the team. In the past 5 years in the role I've overseen a number of successful club accreditations, forming of new clubs and coaching and umpiring courses. Currently, my role is based around coach, umpire and teacher education, as well as supporting the Netball Development Officers, Regional Manager and the North West Management Board.

Lancashire Netball Development Officer - Lauren Watson
 
My main objective in this capacity is to work with the Lancashire County Netball Association to increase the number of women and girls playing netball through Back to Netball and develop more junior clubs in the county, as well as supporting the County Academies to ensure that more payers get into the Talented player pathway. Cheshire Netball Development Officer – Sara Bayman
 
I am looking to increase participation within the county through developing new and existing clubs and encouraging people to come back to Netball through sessions provided throughout the county. Working to increase the number of umpires, officials and volunteers within the county, as well as provide clear development pathways for both players and officials.

Merseyside Development Officer - Lorna Rooke
 
My main priority in my county is to provide support to all players/ volunteers/ clubs/ teams/ officials and to the Merseyside County Management Association. I am very keen to take Merseyside forward, developing the sport within the community, providing a pathway for players to achieve their potential and raising the profile of netball which will help the county blossom. Cumbria Netball Development Officer – Sonia Dryden
 
My role is combined with being a Community Netball Coach in Copeland. In my role I would like to make netball more accessible to players in Cumbria and to increase participation through Back 2 Netball and increasing the number of Junior Clubs in my region. I would also like to see our more talented athletes’ progress through the England Netball Excel Programme by ensuring they receive the level of coaching required.

My role is to increase the number of junior netball clubs in the City of Manchester by firstly increasing the number of volunteers developing as coaches and umpires to support the creation of junior clubs. Also to increase participation starting with setting up more Back to Netball sessions.

North West Back to Netball Officer Rachel Henry
 
My role is to get women back playing netball and to increase participation at a recreational level. I work with Netball Development Officers, Sports Development Officers, Borough Councils, Netball Clubs and Universities to set up sessions across the whole of the North West. After attending these sessions women tend to go on to playing regularly each week in local leagues and competitions.

North West Regional Talent Coach – Karen Greig
 
My role is to manage, plan and deliver the Excel pathway within the Region and to support the Counties in the development of their County Academies in preparing players and coaches working in the Excel program. I also coach the players in the Regional Excel Academy preparing them to attend National excel program.
