The NW Competitions TSG have reviewed section 3 of the rules regards registration and superleague players.
In order to stop the talent drain from up and coming clubs and open up our league to clubs whom are moving through the ranks of the EN pathway for competition and not penalise these developing talented athletes in our region, the committee has agreed that if the regional league is the highest competition a club plays in, then a player who is picked for a superleague team may play for this club in the regional league.
However if a club has a team in the Northern league OR the Prem, then that player can only play in the regional league upto the start of superleague (players may need match fitness, coming back from injury etc). Thereafter ie after the 19th Jan 2012, they cannot play regional.
There will also be an audit of players from team registration sheets carried out over the next few weeks, to ensure that all teams are playing affiliated players who are registered to their team in the NW Regional League. Please ensure that any players are registered with NW office as per timescale in the rules before they play. Failure to do this may result in penalties being applied
